What is VDS / VPS?
VDS features
Virtual Dedicated Server - a type of hosting that combines the power of a dedicated server and the flexibility and simplicity of hosting. To ensure the functioning of the VDS, KVM virtualization technology is used: each virtual server is allocated its own area in RAM and on the hard disk, which increases the reliability of the VDS, preventing neighboring servers from using the same areas of memory and disk space.
What are the advantages of VDS over shared hosting?
General information about VDS
Unlimited Possibilities
Unlimited websites, domains/subdomains, databases, ssh / ftp / email users. VDS is limited only by the system resources of the corresponding tariff plan, which, if necessary, can be changed.
Security
Complete isolation from other VDS: a neighbor that consumes a lot of resources will not affect your VDS. No one will be able to access your files.
Full access
Full access to the system, root user rights.
Management
Booting, rebooting, shutting down, creating backups and many other virtual server management options are available in the control panel.
When should you choose VDS?
The main reasons when you should think about choosing a VDS/VPS are: the need to install some additional software (for example: Tomcat, MongoDB, Docker), or your site has become cramped on a regular hosting, you need a guaranteed amount of CPU, RAM resources.
Which VDS parameters are the most important?
The main parameters that affect the performance of VDS are: the clock frequency and the number of processor cores (CPU), as well as the amount of RAM. The more CPU, RAM - the more productive your VDS will work.
Is there a VDS trial period?
The test period for VDS is 30 days. If after paying for the order, within 30 days you do not like something, the entire amount will be fully refunded. The terms of the trial period apply only for the fair use of VDS (not spam, phishing, etc.).
Where are the VDS nodes located?
VDS servers are located in our data centers located in Kharkov, Ukraine.
From which subnets can I order an IPv4 address?
When ordering a VDS, an IPv4 address will be assigned from one of the following networks: 91.231.84.0/24, 91.231.85.0/24, 91.231.86.0/24, 91.231.87.0/24, 195.64.154.0/24, 195.64.155.0/24, 195.88.242.0/24, 212.86.110.0/24, 195.123.195.0/24, 195.123.188.0/24
Will it be possible to change the PTR record of an IPv4 address?
Editing PTR records is available in the service control panel. The domain name must be previously directed via an A-record to IPv4 for which you want to edit the PTR.
How often are VDS backups made?
VDS backups are made approximately once a week. When you create a backup, the full image of the virtual machine is saved. If you need to backup more often, this can be configured on the VDS.
What does VDS Administration mean?
Our employees are happy to help you set up standard software on VDS within their competence. VDS administration regulation can be read here.
